Inside Our Signature Candle-Making Experience in Vancouver🕯️

Inside Our Signature Candle-Making Experience in Vancouver🕯️

On June 20th, we did something we had been dreaming about for a long time. We brought together a small group of candle lovers, creatives, and self-care enthusiasts around a table, handed them fragrance oils and warm wax, and watched something beautiful happen.

Our first Signature Candle Making Experience took place at India Chaat House on Davie Street, and honestly? It exceeded every expectation we had. It was an afternoon of fragrance, connection, and hands-on candle making.

As a Black woman-owned candle brand based in Vancouver, one of the things we value most at Muna Candles is creating spaces where people can slow down, connect with others, and enjoy moments of intentional self-care. This workshop was exactly that.

Creating Candles, One Scent at a Time ✨

Each guest created their own handcrafted coconut wax candle, along with two matching heart-shaped tealights and a handwritten note from us to take home.

The real magic was watching everyone explore the Muna fragrance collection and create scent combinations that reflected their personalities.

Some attendees chose a single signature scent, while others experimented with custom fragrance blends to create something uniquely their own.

From warm gourmand notes to fresh and uplifting fragrances, every candle told a different story. That, for us, was the whole point.

More Than a Candle Making Class 🤎

While the workshop focused on candle making, what stood out most was the sense of community that formed around the table.

Guests chatted, shared stories, compared scent combinations, and encouraged one another throughout the process. Between pouring candles and selecting fragrances, attendees enjoyed food and drinks from India Chaat House and Aelo beverages and spent the afternoon simply being present.

One attendee shared that the experience was “the happiest thing I’ve done in a while” a comment that perfectly captured the atmosphere we hoped to create.

At Muna Candles, we believe self-care goes beyond products. Sometimes self-care looks like making something with your hands, trying something new, meeting new people, and giving yourself permission to slow down.
